DESCRIPTION:Youth Running Club is offered in the Fall. Sign your kid up according to the grade they are going to be enrolled at in the fall. Plan on providing your own running shoes and water. \nRegistration is for 1st-6th grade and the season will be August 26th through October 10th. SUMMARY:Fall Dodgeball Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Register for our semi-annual dodgeball tournament! \nThe tournament will be held September 21st at 1:00 PM at the Arco Rec Center. \nCost is $50 per team. \nTeams can have up to 6 players registered – at least 1 female on the court during play. \n  \nWe’ve learned a few things from our first tournament and hope to have rules and format smoothed out this time around. \nFORMAT/RULES \n\nIt is a ROUND ROBIN competition.\nEach match consists of maximum 3 x 5 minutes games with a 1 minute break to change ends between games.\nThe team with more players still “in” at the end of a 5 minutes or before win the game.\nUnlimited substitution can be made between games.\nTeams will be awarded 3 points for a win\, 1 point for a draw and 0 point for a loss. The final placing shall be awarded according to aggregate of points accumulated by each team.\nIn the event of a tie at the end of group games\, placings will be decided on a “for and against” goal count.\nFinal brackets will be determined based on group placings\nTimeout may only be called if player on court is injured. Play will cease immediately upon signal from\n\nTeams. \n\nInjured player(s) may substitute with a non-active player.\n\n  \nGLOSSARY \n\nLive ball: A ball that has been validly thrown which can cause Elimination or be Caught.\nDead ball: A ball that is no longer a Live Ball and therefore cannot cause Elimination or be Caught.\nInactive ball: A ball that has not passed behind an Activation Line since the beginning of the current set.\nInvalid Throw: it may include rolling\, kicking\, slapping or scooping the ball.\n\n  \nRULES \n\nAll matches are played on honor and honest system\, i.e. when players are struck by a live ball\, they\n\nwill raise their hand to indicate the officials and head to the “Out Box” immediately. \n\nEliminated players must line up in the order of elimination for the ease of return of the game.\nGame commencement: Each player must have at least one foot touching their respective back line.\nOpening Rush: Balls must pass the activation line before a valid throw can be made.\nPlayers must remain within the court area at all times\, unless collecting dead balls.\nPlayers are only allowed to throw the ball in their team zone. Players will be eliminated when they throw the balls outside their zone or leave the court for other purposes.\nIf a player steps on the line of the court border or Centre line\, the player is deemed out for foot foul.\nWhen a player catches a ball\, the throwing player will be eliminated.\nHeadshots (i.e. hitting your opponents on the head) will result to the thrower to be out.
